We have a member and a truck that fit the bill. It's always nice to see someone take something that may have been seen as an eye sore and truly turn it into their own. 4.0forlife's '88 Olympic Pioneer YEAR/MODEL ●88 jeep comanche pioneer ( Olympic edition )ENGINE/PERFORMANCE ●4.0 renix mostly stock. msd coil and 4 hole injectorsDRIVETRAIN ●4.0. ax15 trans. np231 t-case with advanced adapters sye. adams drive shaft. hp dana 30 front, dana 44 rear with 4.10 gears.COOLING ●converted to an open cooling systemELECTRICAL/IGNITION ●stock except for really harness for the extra lightsSUSPENSION/STEERING ●alexia 5.5 inch budget lift. rough country lcas. stock steering for now, waiting to pull the trigger on the iro hd steering setupINTERIOR ●all stock comanche parts. nothing fancyBRAKES ●stock brakes (wanting to improve them )LIGHTING ●stock sealed beams and regular bulbs. kc daylighters up front, ebay recessed led lights in the rear bumper EXTERIOR ●cherokee front clip. new Colorado red synthetic enamel paint ( done by me ). home brew front bumper ( po made it ). jcr rear bumper. krusty sliders waiting to go onWHEELS/TIRES ●American racing outlaw 2 rims wrapped with bfg mud terrain ( 33x10.50x15)MISCELLANEOUS ●posi trak cad axle connect.Remember That One Time?... Tell Us Your Best MJ Story ●i just got done doing my slip yoke eliminator. next day i went to work. upon leaving work i noticed that the cross-member looked like it was hanging a little low. so i looked and the bolts were half out. i thought eh i forgot to tighten them. sure enough they had stripped and kept popping lower and lower. it was a slow ride home trying to avoid bumps on n.e. pa mountain roads so the cross-member would stay on the truck. they're now tapped to 7/16 bolts.CC is Awesome!... Why Do You Think So? ●ive gotten so much help from old thread to questions that i had to ask about my own problems that baffle me. in the end these are some of the best guys and girls ive meet that all share the same passion of the comanche Man oh man. Just another good looking truck and build. While it may have started out kind of rough, with the PO leaving half brewed ideas (like a switch for the reverse lights) you combed through the junk and found a solid truck. The steps you took to clean it up, and that bang up job doing the garage paint turned out fantastic.
