HunterK Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Hey guys sorry if this is already a topic, I can't find it if it is. But I'm doing the 97+ front clip swap on my 89 Comanche and not sure what to do about the header panel wiring harness. Should I use the older one so it plugs in to the plug on the driver side or do I use the newer style harness? If I have to use the newer style harness how would I change the plug to fit the one on my jeep?

Rockfrog Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I would suggest converting to the later style plug, if only because the stock plugs were usually so damn corroded. Mine was a ball of green crud. Swapped to the late model plug and copied the wiring scheme on my 2000 XJ to wire it to the 88's harness. Helped having a connector tool to move wires about in the plugs as well.
