I have read through several threads on replacement rocker panels.  I have also googled the parts.  What I found on the 'net is that there are two makers of these parts: C2C and Sherman.

I gather from the other threads that C2C are not good fits/matches.  Sherman seems to be a better match.  Can anyone confirm this?

I will search for a parts vehicle, but all the MJs are just as old as mine.  They may/will have the same issue with rusted rockers.

Here is my issue.  I finally got my truck back from the body shop that did the work two years ago.  I had to take in back in early Sept to have them correct issues they did fix properly the first time.  (rusted floors   It took them 4 months to get it back to me.  Not because of the amount of work, but because they didn't want to work on it.  I was told I wasn't a priority!)  While it was in there, I pointed out some paint blistering on the drive's side rocker panel.  The tech told me it is rusting from within and that it will need to be replaced in the future.  (They won't be doing it!)

So now I am starting my search for the parts.

Does anyone have first hand experience with Sherman?  Are there other suppliers besides the two I found?

Thanks

I got some from cross canada parts (now LKQ) and they were junk! Had to rework the whole panel. I have seen both slip on style and replacement , I have always ordered the replacement ones.

If you have searched the forum about rockers, you have seen my reports (disgust) with the C2C junk. In a nutshell, they are the wrong size with the wrong bends and the wrong bend radii to match the factory rockers.

Here is an image of C2C MJ rockers.

Per the direction of my body shop guy, I ordered rockers listed for the MJ from Sherman. Here is one next to the JCR bumper.

I cannot speak to their ease of installation as I do not have those kind of skills. But, my body shop was far happier with the Sherman part fitment than the C2C. I can say that the C2C part profile is visually different than the factory rocker profile.

Thanks for the responses.  However, I have read that XJ panels do not fit: wrong profile and too long for the MJ.  Also, I do not do rock crawling.  My MJ is 99.999% street.  I am not looking to get rock guards.  Thanks anyway.
