mikekaz1
curious if any one knows any info on these mirrors, original manufacturer? part number? any trim correlation?
shelbyluvv
I don't think those are factory. Pull the door panel and see if the braces are in the door. Those look like Ranger mirrors with a bolt on extender slide.

mikekaz1
the mirror heads are replacement, with the extend a mirror attachment, I know I put those on. the bracket is mj original, the bracket info is really what I'm looking for, as they seem to be MJ specific as of size and contruction. wondering if anyone knew any info on them,
87MJTIM
Those mirror are definitely after market. They are mounted too far forward on the door. The driver has to look through the vent glass to see the mirror. Here's mine. Factory installed
mikekaz1
the brackets are original, they were moved from my long bed to my short bed and relocated inline with the standard corner mirrors as I felt you could see out of them better, especially on the drivers side and to accommodate my 1997 door swap with full window (passenger side not finished) I will say, I'm curious now tho because your mounting flanges are different from mine... yours are flat to the body, where mine mount on half circle plastic isolators with adjustment groves

HOrnbrod
These are the only "low profile" type mirrors issued to the MJs throughout the 86-92 years. There are no others in the factory parts manuals. It is possible however that some dealerships had differently styled options available.
mikekaz1
ah, that's some of the paperwork I wanted to see! that's definitely identical to 87mjtim's too. my brackets seem to be spot on, just the mounting flange slightly different. ill be interested to see what those measurements are compared to mine, I will post mine later tonight
mikekaz1
so my lower bolt holes are 2" apart, top are 4" apart, bracket mounting is roughly 7" between both flanges and door to outer edge is roughly 9"

Eagle
so my lower bolt holes are 2" apart, top are 4" apart, bracket mounting is roughly 7" between both flanges and door to outer edge is roughly 9" I agree that yours are not factory mirrors or brackets. Does your truck have the vertical reinforcing member inside the doors? (Part #5 in Hornbrod's diagram.)

mikekaz1
in any event, even if my brackets are not direct factory, but rather a factory aftermarket or something, they are far smaller (dimensionally) then any of the fords or any other ones I've seen, there about 2 or 3 inches shorter then replacement ford ones, so still not sure how to trace these down to a manufacturer. shelbyluvv
Small body Ranger pick up has the same size mirrors. Look at my Black Betty build and you can see they are real close. CIPA also sells that style mirror along with JC Whitney and numerous others. Hell, Walmart has them.
