fiatslug87
I look at pick-n-pull's on line inventory weekly and today Comanche is no longer listed :(
Pete M
well, the bright side is that more and more people are keeping them rather than just dumping them off at the junkyard.
yellaheep
If those yard's websites are like ours, the model names disappear when that model isn't among the current inventory. Comanche only shows when they have one or more in the yard.
fiatslug87
In the past I've searched their entire inventory for Comanches and sometimes they have not had any, maybe they changed the way their search engine works to only list current models as you suggest. Minuit
well, the bright side is that more and more people are keeping them rather than just dumping them off at the junkyard. Either this or the sad reality: there are hardly any MJs left to junk anymore. In the next few years I predict we'll see less trucks that are on death's door as the ones that were going to survive anyway stay on the road and the crappy ones get junked in ever decreasing numbers. Keyav8r
Pull-A-Part in Birmingham, AL lists both Comanche and Commanche. I have an alert set up for when they get a Commanche on the yard. Always wanted to see one of those. Must be a really rare model.
91Pioneer
I've been going to the local P-n-P for a couple years and have never seen a MJ. XJs and WJs are the only Jeeps I've ever seen there.
Minuit
I've noticed that even the XJs are starting to thin out too. I used to have about 10 of various trim levels to pick from on my monthly JY run, down significantly now. Tons of Grands still though. I wish my normal junkyard would wait a little longer before crushing stuff. 1500 posts! Maybe eventually I'll make one worth reading... Pete M
I'm not sure anything in the junkyard will be as depressing as all the pristine cash-for-clunkers trucks I saw. :fs1:
Minuit
I wish I was in the MJ game when that happened. I sure would like to pick through pristine stuff that people just didn't want anymore rather than the "275k is low mileage for a junkyard XJ" situation these days. That still doesn't excuse C4C though. Not even a little bit.
