ComancheLover90 Posted May 6, 2015 Share Posted May 6, 2015 1990 Jeep Comanche (not sure if its a pioneer/eliminator/etc) 2WD/4WD Straight 6, 4L, I think its the A904 trans, not sure on the transfercase, the rear and front axle, and the wheelbase (if anyone could tell/guess what mine could be, that'd be great) Build date: 4/90 Current Location: Sacramento, CA. Current Status: Driveable Nothing really special about it, other than missing an E, so its a jep. relyt120 Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015 If its a 90 auto then it has the AW4 rather than the A904 if you look at the fuel door you can tell if you have a short wheel base or a long wheel base. If the fuel door is nearly touching the rear flare then its a LWB if you have several inches between the fuel door and the rear flare then it is a SWB. You can tell if it is 2wd or 4wd a few ways: the presence of a transfer case, the presence of a 4wd snifter, the presence of a front differential rather than beam axle. If it is a 4wd then you will have a dana 30 front differential, if it is 2wd then you will have a dummy beam axle instead. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
