He grew up on a rural Missouri farm in which they used a Willys as a tractor, plow, disc, mill, etc. He said, without a doubt, it is pronounced 'williss' and always has been.

I just feel it is disrespectful to mispronounce the name of the man who fought to make jeep a civilian vehicle and nurtured it along for us to have today
