Comangi
I've never heard it pronounced that way. I've been in the jeep world for as long as I can remember. You, sir, are rocking my jeep knowledge to the core......
gogmorgo
Yup, and most people will swear to you that leaving a battery on a concrete floor will ruin it as well. Just because many other people say or do something doesn't make it correct.
87Warrior
This evening I had dinner with my grandfather and asked him about the pronunciation. He grew up on a rural Missouri farm in which they used a Willys as a tractor, plow, disc, mill, etc. He said, without a doubt, it is pronounced 'williss' and always has been. Just because many other people say or do something doesn't make it correct. I have heard that all my life.. I wonder where it starts. Pronounce it however you wish, I guess. I just feel it is disrespectful to mispronounce the name of the man who fought to make jeep a civilian vehicle and nurtured it along for us to have today
