bhorocks Posted May 25, 2007 Share Posted May 25, 2007 wow, didn't get the 44 but at least i don't have to settle for the d35. from what i was reading i thought those were the only 2 choices on the manche. got lucky and got a 8.25 I'll take that! :thumbsup: bought my $500 dollar comanche last weekend. put in new powersteering pump and new clutch slave cylinder. just need to find the 4wd conversion parts.. hope i posted up right Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's a bad way to tell. I think the later D35s had the plastic plugs, but I think they came in 8.25s and the ZJ D44 too. It was something chrysler came up with. mjcanoe Posted May 25, 2007 Share Posted May 25, 2007 FYI, On the d35's that came w.rubber plug that tended to shrink as age set in & caused oil seepage, problem can be repaired by using the drain fill plugs (30mm wrench) from 231 &/or 242 t/cases. just buy tap the correct size & thread pitch & tap existing stamped hole in cover w/cover removed. must be tapped straight or it will leak worse. use t/c drain plug & no more leak or seep. I purchased my tap from local tool supply for about $30.00, so maybe get local guy's to share cost. as mechanic my tool purchases are tax write off. mjcanoe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
