Alexia
Has anyone stuffed a MJ roll bar into the back of a XJ for transport? The overall dimensions looks like it will fit side ways laying on its back.
Strokermjcomanche
I put one in my WJ . I know it's really not answering your question , but there was more room to be had . You'd probably have to move the the front seats forward . Mine was a Lwb bar

I just will not have someone to help me get it down when I get home.
HOrnbrod
Don't you have a JK also? It'll fit back there.

It will not fit in the LJ either since I have a large tool/camper box back there. If it fits in a WJ it should fit in a XJ. They are basically the same dimensions. neohic
Don't they fit in the back of a Comanche? C'mon... take the truck out for a little supercharged road trip! . :MJ 1: .

Still finding/waiting on someone that can do a PCM flash tune for the thing. Those old Chrysler JTEC PCMs are too smart for piggyback controllers. :/
xjrev10
I wouldn't of thought the one I sold would have fit in the back of my JK or XJ...
Alexia
It fit sitting on its back with the lower rear seat removed. Bonus, it propped up the broken driver seat!

I ordered a SCT X4 today and plan on picking up their Pro Tuner package to do it myself.

MJJiM89
On two separate occasions, I've fit both a SWB and a LWB roll bar into the back of a 2003 Ford Escape with no problems. When I brought the LWB one home, I had to pull the rear seat bottoms off (there's release tabs on the hinge pins that make that a simple job) for some extra clearance, but it fit with no problem, the hatch even closed with no interference. I would imagine an XJ's cargo area would be larger than that of an Escape. No???
neohic
I'm in a similar situation right now only I've sold my long box roll bar. Had it all snug in the back of the Ape as I was planning on just driving it across town. Shipping ended up not working out for that location so the next closest for Greyhound is 45 miles north of me. Not wanting to take it on a road trip just yet, I had to get creative... and then I even surprised myself. I see your Cherokee, and I raise you a Focus hatchback... :D ... well, almost, anyhow. :shake: It'll make the 45 miles fine, but I was so close to getting the thing to fit that I almost forgot that I had to take it out too! Ah well... I think that if it were for a short box it would've fit. The opening for the hatch needed to be just a little bit taller! I think this is the bench mark for future "will the roll bar fit" threads. :laughin:
