kansashogan Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 I called a guy about making me a driveshaft and he told me about $300. I have both yokes so all he has to do to my knowledge is make a new tube and weld it together. I would assume he is going to balance it also. Is this in line with what others paid? Strokermjcomanche Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Do you have a ds that you can have shortened ? Mine cost a $100 to have it shortened with new spicer joints put in . Lengthining the shaft is more money . The 2wd shafts have rubber inside for dampening purposes and MAY give you problems if you areshortening it . kansashogan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Share Posted January 4, 2015 I put a 350/700R4 in my 2wd. I have the dana 35 rearend and I have the driveshafts from both vehicles. I noticed the jeep driveshaft is heavy and has the rubber in it. They are different diameters-the jeep one is bigger. Both driveshafts are plenty long.
