44 gear question

will a tj rubicon 4.10 R&P fit in my waggy 44?

if they are both LP i think it should be alright, check the parts numbers at some gear places online.

Don't quote me. But it should fit providing you use a high ratio carrier.

well it comes with the carrier, for only 45 i could get the R&P and carrier so i was hoping it would work in my 44 but idk if ill do it, i want 5.13s so i may just wait but id like to get those 4.10s so i can hurry up and put the 44 under the truck

I'm thinking they are different for some reason. Thicker gears maybe? You may want to make a phone call on that one. Of course I could be wrong again. Wouldn't be the first or last time. :roll:

Yukon says this about Rubicon gears...

 

"Product Description

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon uses a special set of Dana 44 axles. These gears will fit the stock lockers. This ring and pinion set will fit the front or rear of a Rubicon."

 

They are a different part number than regular D44 gears.

They should fit but they are thick gears instead of normal. Also the bolts in the ring gear are different size. I think they go up to 7/16th or higher i just can't remember off the top of my head.

No they are not the same. The rubi 44 are not true Dana 44 housings. If you need gears PM me and we might be able help you out with a good price.

well i just realized they are not rubicon 4.10s they are just 4.10s for a tj with a rear 44
