Your truck should have two lights - one on each side just above the upper anchor point of the lap/seat belt.  Most of the time, they don't work after 20 years.  But that is where they should be.  The lights tilt to turn off and on.  they also work when the door is open - depending on the tilt position.

Is the OP asking about a cargo light for the box or a light for the cab interior above the back window?  "Cab light" term caused me to think of the interior of the cab.  Not the Exterior light for the box.  If he is asking about a cargo box light, I noticed a truck at the Pick N Pull with a combined high 3rd brake lite and cargo box light just last week.  Foolishly did not look closer at it.

Yea, I was asking about the 3rd brake light / bed light.

I'm looking for a semi-stock part. Not a factory part, just needs to look like something factory would use.

On the inside lights, I already bought new replacements, found em on Amazon.

ggcnash, you have a picture of that light?

Thanks for your answers

I got a 3rd brake light from an XJ.  Pulled it, cut a hole in the cab, installed it, ran a wire to the brake light.  Not a cargo light but it LOOKS stock.

Sure will take pics when I get home Friday work out of town but get on eBay and search for ford ranger led cargo light there are many options even some with brake light I did not get the brake light version more to wire

I would use one out of an f250 around early 2000s and FYI the wiring is already inside the cab for that light . And the plug is located at the drivers side of the steering column behind the instrument bezel

I added a 12V work light to my roll bar and wired it in such a way that it is on a separate harness that is hooked into the factory switch for trigger power to the relay --- the light is upside down and pointed to the middle of the bed
