After aad0ac1cec41f6d01bbea2ed900aa04c.jpg

It's really odd hearing the engine run at the proper Rpms , I've never had the engine run like this but I'm glad I got the issue resolved !

Also replaced the belt

Is it bad if the track bar clunks when moved ? I'm having steering shimmy going 35-45 and I'm trying to look for the issue , could it be loose or is it just bad ? https://vimeo.com/151254837

* update got under and tried to tighten everything and everything appears to be on properly , under inspection I also noticed the sway bar bushing is cracked and it appears to be shrunken ?129eafb4ca068f89743cfac6681f6a5b.jpg

It’s been A lot of years since I’ve updated this. I’ve learned and grown a bit since this update. Got done with high school and started my Career as a tech. Found a good woman in the mean time and have learned a lot. Sadly this beauty has gotten neglected but I’m trying my best to get her to the point where she is better than ever.
major issues as of now is that pukegoat. I think it’s pretty much toast at this point. It whines like crazy in every gear except 4th. Whine goes away when I press the clutch pedal so I’m thinking maybe a bearing inside the trans. Either way I’m trying to save whatever I can to possibly swap in a ax15. Not looking for a 4x4 swap. I’ll leave that for my 88.
Power steering system needs to also be addressed. She’s leaking  a good amount. Seems like the pump so pump replacement is in the future. Maybe even a steering box. If so I’ll just upgrade to a zj unit. I have already replaced the lines.
Engine mounts are another needed repair. They are pretty much shot at this point.

Recently I have replaced cap and rotor because I never got to it back then.

I refreshed the grounds per cruisers tips.  I also plan on adding additional grounds per his tips. When I did these things they made a big improvement on my 88.

I replaced both battery cables since they were horribly corroded and younger me didn’t know the amount of issues that could cause. i also replaced the battery itself.

I replaced the fuel pump and filter. The replacement I had put in there years ago probably went bad from sitting so much.

I also did one of the upgrades I had been longing for since I had joined this site. I finally found some turbines for the ol girl. Absolutely love the look.  Also need to buy new rubber for it.

here’s a picture dump. 81782534-69FB-4687-9F66-389C138DE975.png.b05ba59e74e3e7ac8e11dbe0b1a922ac.pngAF1C5914-C45A-4AA5-962F-66751C654F08.jpeg.59c404f76e2578a7c25256b730aafc63.jpegFFF116E2-FF96-45F7-82AB-11CB7E448FC4.jpeg.b197a90dcfd7f5a079a5f1a3d6be9eeb.jpeg

Finally got the old vinyl out. floors are extremely solid. Only found two tiny pin holes. Waiting for my chassis saver to get here to coat the floors now. I’m also waiting on my parking brake cable since the old one snapped many years ago.

Cleaned up all the interior plastics with some soapy water and a magic eraser. Pics don’t do it justice. It really worked wonders.

I was able to get a lot done today thankfully.

younger me really put this off for way too long. It’s so nice parking this beauty and not seeing an oil spot under the pump.

old pump was leaking pretty dang bad.
Still gotta replace the oil soaked lower radiator hose.

Also threw in an engine mount while I was at it. Old mount was really bad.

all buttoned together.
nice shiny new pump B63BA92D-B0F9-441D-9E46-B67E1F874AD2.jpeg.9fe8e1c21db1a95372aa0d561114d068.jpeg

and when everything was said and done I went and gave the old girl a wash. Noticed on the test drive exhaust was rattling pretty bad. Looks like it’s hitting the crossmember. I’m guessing the engine is sitting uneven since it’s got one new mount on one side and a old worn out one on the other side. . I’ll change the other mount when I change the oil since the oil filter has to come out. Pretty happy with everything I did today :L:0B60B9B4-A27C-4FBB-8417-351EA477D23F.jpeg.1fb9daeeb8321c6659fd27810cc77405.jpeg

the oil filter adapter was actually a regular hex head , I was expecting a torx.

Got some fresh rubber on her , I got super lucky yesterday. It was my first time driving her long distance. I had loaded the new tires and planned on installing them at work. The drive there went fantastic but after work I came out and found both front tires had gone flat. Thankfully I had already planned on replacing those tires that same day. CA6A690C-541E-4425-8B93-250B7531D30D.jpeg.5ddd83aeea201262559898a5448424d9.jpeg18C8E602-0A32-4E35-B1F2-6A6D011A9334.jpeg.ac0097f6e492ffbf9057c46676a0093d.jpeg63E0A685-D2A0-4E46-82F9-DDD0FC38366E.jpeg.a38a50f6e3390f130acd00562a777978.jpegFB0F68E1-B8AD-4FC0-BF33-CF75CA9F0288.jpeg.9460da7232297a36ca2cc0ee2355a761.jpeg7110D59D-710D-4267-A773-A025C07F235B.jpeg.013f64fa3b41695383520631cba37e40.jpeg2EA4015D-7183-4B57-A919-2DEAF54DD5FE.jpeg.30df68f7f4d6fd14ed4d9d516920de45.jpeg
