Getting ready to throw a 8.25 Chrysler with a locker in the rear. It's coming off a Cherokee that was stock. Not sure what the best gear ratio to go with. I want to be able to run 35s with ease. Any advice would be great!

I have a 87 pioneer 2.5l 4speed trans. I was told they come stock with 4.10s. Planning on running 35s. Not sure what gear ratio will work best. Not sure what my best option is for axlesIt all depends on how you treat your truck...I know a guy with an xj 4.0 still running the Dana 30 and 29 spline 8.25 on 38s with 4.10s he's been running and dd that setup for years and no problems...He babies it for dd duties and beats it off-road...but he does a lot of preventive maitinence for it not to break... I did see that but they came out after I made the purchase and weren't making an option for the amc 20... I plan on beating on my truck this is my first jeep. I used to run only Toyota but everyone does here in Hawaii. I want something different. Anyone done a 1 ton swap

I'm having this same problem thing whines like crazy. I've hear you can bleed the system but j can't seem to find any nipple.

Howsit I have this 87 Comanche 4cyl. 4speed that I scored for 1000 bucks it only has 58000 original miles. I want to try the 4wd drive but don't wanna get stuck in it. Anything I should do before testing the 4wd? Truck runs strong!

Howsit! I have a 87 Comanche that I'm building all stock 2.5L 4spd. I also have an 89 Comanche that is a straight 6 with a 7inch lift 8.25 rear end with locker. The 87 has a rusted can and the 89 is super clean. I know it's unibody but has anyone done or knows anyone that has done a cab swap
