RockinMJ
What is the best way for removal? Not sure if is painted or a decal. All I know it is on there very good.
yxmj
if you have a body shop supp;y in your area ask for a silicon wheel (explain what you want it for and they will point you in the right direction) aside from that.....check out my avitar.......nice truck.... . :MJ 1: . Minuit
I believe they are vinyl decals. At least, my '91 Sport decals are. If you don't want to just take them off with a wheel, a heat gun and something sharp (credit card?) will help. If you don't have a heat gun, parking it in the sun will help soften them up also. Alexia
One of these! Note, it says that it will not mar the finish, but I found that a light buffing would be required. I believe you are planning on painting anyway though. http://www.amazon.com/Industries-Smart-Eraser-Drill-Adaptor/dp/B00488DDB8/ref=pd_sim_indust_5

jimoshel
There is a tool made for removing stickers, decals etc, from glass. Uses a single edge razor blade. works very well. just take it easy and don't rush it.

This is the one I am talking about http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Marine/Home/Products/Catalog/?PC_7_RJH9U5230GE3E02LECIE20S4K7000000_nid=H6SGG1DDTVbeRJ5GMFSMV0gl I think it is the same as the one listed above. It is the product they use in pro body shops as well as by the grafic companies that install decals for a living.....when in doubt use what the pros use

Works great. Just make sure you keep it moving and don't let it burn the paint.
skel130
I can say the cheap one from amazon works great. 2 of those will do a whole truck (all the stripes).
