Found Another Mj, Do Yall Think This Is A Decent Deal?

I found a 89' 4.0, 5 speed, metric ton, 6ft bed with the floor boards already cut and rewelded for 1000. It is a daily driver, inspected and registered. Only dents were small on the drivers door (replaceable) and top of tailgate (replaceable or just throw a plastic cap on it).

 

It is better than the 87 i have which isn't running and needs the floorboards replaced. It also has the I4 and 4 speed manual.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Never personally seen a true Metric Tonne that was a SWB, which is awesome by itself IMO.

Sounds like a deal to me. 4wd or 2wd? I don't believe they made Metric Ton MJs in swb and 4cyl, but ya never know......toss up some pics if ya can!

Yeah, I asked him a few times. Even if it isn't a true metric ton. It has a 6ft bed, D44 rear and 2inch received hitch. I still need to go take a look at it. Hoping it is a 6 ft bed.

If it's a metric ton, it'll be the long bed.  Unless someone swapped one in, the 4cyl trucks never came with a D44.

actually you could order a metric ton 4 banger. :yes:   but it still would have been a lwb.  but then, Jeep would do almost anything to make a truck sale back in the day, so who knows. :dunno:

I think he's saying the 'new' 89 is a 4.0. 

His current 87 is I4.
