Perkins Diesel Engine, 369 CI. He was running it in a Ford P/U. Still got the 4 spd tran attached.

Would this be any good for a MJ swap? Or is it too heavy? Haven't looked at it yet. Just got the pic the guy sent me.

If it's to heavy for a MJ I may just get it anyway. See if it will fit in a J20.

LOL..That was my first thought when I first saw it. Just checking to see if any body has any info or opinions on it. it's a 60 mile trip one way just to look so trying to find out whether it's worth it or not.

If you get it cheap enough, it would be worth having around for some future project - hell, you could at least run a welder/generator with it if nothing else.

I think it would be good for a J20 but much too heavy for an MJ.

My main concern would be the manual fuel pump mounted to the top of the motor.....would be hard to operate.....I guess I could hold the wife by the belt loops while she reached out and turned it.. :thumbsup:

J20 would barely handle the extra weight. I almost bought a Dodge LCF (low cab forward) 5 ton with one. VERY low revving, slow and not very powerful compared to modern engines.
