Zebvance Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Thought I would share a picture or two of what I have been working on for the past two weeks. A compleat revamping of the front of my mj! :)Image Not FoundImage Not FoundImage Not Found
Comanche County Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I think you'll like the inverted T setup a lot more. You might have a little bit of bump steer due the track bar angle but I don't think it'll be bad at all. Did you ream out the knuckles for the 1 ton tie rod ends?
Zebvance Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 I drilled them with a 7/8s bit and had tapered inserts. Supposedly because of the poly bushings I shouldn't have a problem with bump steer. Could you give me an example of the T set up?
neohic Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Image Not Found How many threads do you have in those spacers?
AMCJeepMJ Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I knew I kept this old honda-tech thread on drilled rotors bookmarked for a reason. http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1437513
Zebvance Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Image Not Found How many threads do you have in those spacers? Should be enough. I used lock tight too. That picture was befor the lugs were tight. Here is current. Image Not Found Image Not Found
Zebvance Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 What brake calipers and rotors are those? Calipers are from advance auto. Rotors are from ebay. Can't remember brand. They are zinc plated and cross drilled
Zebvance Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 She is finally sitting on her own feet again. Prolly only for a couple of days and then its on to the rear. Ripping out the turdy five and putting in the 8.8
Alexia Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I always like the scowling front bumpers. I find it amusing you put on a high quality Bilstein steering damper, but have cheap Rough Country shocks. :) Definitely enough threads in those spacer lug nuts.
Zebvance Posted June 1, 2013 Author Posted June 1, 2013 lol yea. I'm slowly upgrading everything. ordering my long arms tonight! so exited!
