My Weekend Of Fun

So there's this thing I do every year. It's a 50 hour trivia marathon and it's always held over the second weekend in February. See, the local college radio station in my old stompin' grounds holds it and it's kind of a big deal in the St. Cloud area. It probably isn't what you're thinking either as most of the answers are not just a simple Google search away. LINK. In short, this is a self admitted 50 hour nerd-athon.

A big part of the event is the visual trivia packet. Each team who registers gets a packet of pictures. You don't know what kind of question will be asked about concerning each picture... the idea is to just find out as much info as you can before they ask whatever question they might ask whenever it may be over the 50 hours. This is where I'm asking for your help, CC. I've posted a link to radio station's Facebook page. They've never done this before, but they posted all 46 pictures from the visual trivia packet. Have a look:

Facebook Pictures!

What I'm looking for is anything that you might know about any of the pictures. We have a forum of our own that we have been discussing the pictures for about a month now and we know much about many of the pictures. I'd post up what we know, but this is a competition after all and I'd hate to see prying eyes wandering about our small team's slice of the interwebs. So, whether you take some time and do some digging on them, or if you just know something off the top of your head... any help is awesomely appreciated! Hell, much appreciation to anyone who read through all this picture-less text!

Thanks dudes!

7 looks like a train car, admittedly a very twisted one. 9 looks more like tai chi than an actual martial art. 11 is either a quagga or a zebroid (a zebra hybrid, like a mule is a horse hybrid). 23 looks like an old computer punch-card-ish thing, but the kind that uses light, not a punch. 34 is a 1980 issue Soviet postage stamp commemorating the first space walk. (i'm guessing... I can't make out all the russian, but it says something about "first going out" and "open space"), I think 50 kopecks is a fairly high-value stamp, but I could be wrong. 35 is a set of Olympic gold medalists as printed on a Twinkie box.

I'm sure you already knew most of that, but it's all I got.

We've got quite a bit, but more information never hurts. Numbers that we're still looking into are 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23, 27, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 44.

19 - looks like a dried snake hide

23 - I think is a DNA sequence.

27 - some sort of contemporary/abstractish art with manequins

39 - possibly represents a burned or dishonored treaty between a Native nation and one of the states? Not sure which state flag that could be, Cali,WA maybe?

40 - no clue

41 - a 60s advertisement for ?

42 - air force recruiting poster implying you could become an astronaut, classic bait and switch?

43 - a PSA warning of the risks of using midget robot doctors?

Same numbers yet. I've been searching on a few since Jay posted and I think he might be onto something with 39... it's the only one I've been looking at though.

We're in hour #4!
