ComancheKid45
Check for a bad wire/wires in the injector harness. If nothing is found it might be time to start testing the ECU,
ftpiercecracker1
A bad CPS will also produce a no start, i think.
JENSSEN
10-4 shuts down injector pulse
cruiser54
Key is that putting fuel in the throttle body and it fires up. New fuel pump bad? Low fuel pressure? Need to test it.
diablo8511
to jenssen- What? to ftpiercecracker1- Any advice on getting to the CPS to crusier54- I agree I need to check the pressure
cruiser54
A bad CPS will also produce a no start, i think. Absolutley it will. But if spraying gas in to the throttle body gets it to fire off, there is spark.
diablo8511
What about clogged fuel injectors, it sat for 6 months then some of that dirty fuel was running through the system

diablo8511
I don't know man it has been a very long day, might be time to let it go and pick it up again on saturday
diablo8511
Another thought after getting it to fire it has poor acceleration , fuel pressure regulator?
cruiser54
Another thought after getting it to fire it has poor acceleration , fuel pressure regulator? Only one way to find out. Test it.
diablo8511
Well fuel pressure is good, double checked and I am definitely getting spark. I noticed my vacuum lines aren't completely hooked up and my egr does not seem to be hooked up to the vacuum system valve nor solenoid. Any thoughts? ftpiercecracker1
EGR not being hooked up should not have any effect. But vacuum leaks will cause you problems, but i wouldnt think a no start situation.
relyt120
I had a whacky issue with the fuel pressure regulator myself, never could get it to test bad but as soon as I broke down and replaced it my issue went away...though my issue was an over fueling one rather than not starting. :dunno:

diablo8511
Well what do you think about a problem in the throttle body, maybe the choke?
ftpiercecracker1
So if i understand this correctly, it doesnt crank in anything but neutral, and when i does crank it won't fire? Doesnt even try or just won't quite catch?
diablo8511
Won't catch
ftpiercecracker1
Did you check for spark on all plugs? If fuel pressure is good at the rail and you are getting good spark at all cylinders, then I don't know. Timing? ECU? It would seem something is telling the spark to spark at the wrong time. This may sound stupid, but maybe your air intake is clogged? Fuel and spark mean nothin without air. Or another far out idea, if the cat was 100% clogged it couldnt run then either, but thats pretty unlikely. Hmmmm. . . :hmm:
cruiser54
Well what do you think about a problem in the throttle body, maybe the choke? There is no choke. Do you have spark?
ftpiercecracker1
OP said he does, but i'm not sure if he has spark on all plugs.
Eagle
Well what do you think about a problem in the throttle body, maybe the choke? You don't have a choke -- you have fuel injection. If it fires when you dump gas in, then the CPS is good and the throttle body doesn't have a problem. You are confusing people by saying it won't "fire." If you have spark and it starts when you pour gas into the throttle body, it DOES fire. You aren't getting fuel, so it won't stay running. I'm also confused by your statement that it doesn't accelerate. If it only starts when you pour gas into the throttle body, how can you drive it? Accelerate is when you increase the speed of the vehicle on the road. If you can't drive it, you can't accelerate.
ftpiercecracker1
Maybe his injectors are not recieving the signal to cycle open/close?
