I miss my MJ

My GF lives 60 miles away. She went out of town for a few days and I went up there Wednesday to take her to the airport bus and watch her two dogs. I dropped the dogs off at one of her friend's house Wednesday night, so that I could come back home to work a couple of days. I'm going back up there Friday after work to watch the dogs over the weekend.

Anyways, I decided to drive her Hyundai Sonata for a couple of days and left the MJ at her place. Now the Sonata is a good car, gets better MPG than the MJ, and drives very nicely. But I seriously miss my truck and keep wondering if it's okay sitting up there all alone. :)

I can't wait to finish work tomorrow and get up there. I'm gonna hit some hellacious LA rush hour traffic, but I don't care.

Is that weird? Or normal?

There is something to be said when you are behind the wheel of the MJ at dusk on a cool summer night, arm on the window sill, one hand on the wheel, a stretch of road ahead of you, the hum of the engine laying out a soundtrack, the warm glow of the lights on the dashboard becoming stronger as the night sets on, and no place to go until life calls you back home.

If the Comanche makes a comeback, they should enlist you to direct the commercial.

It's just that the Sonata resembles so many other cars out there. The MJ has some uniqueness.

Also, I miss the MJ more than I miss the GF. Now is that normal, or what? Ha.

Naw, that's natural Johnny. Just bought a new 2012 4DR JK for Mama, and have been doing some upgrades on it to make it not so boring even though it wears the JeeP logo. Swapped some 18" wheels on and it became an instant dog. Turned out the computer retains the tranny shift points from the old 16" wheels, and I had to have the dealer reflash the computer. Who needs that? It's okay now, but all the MJ needs when you regear and/or install larger meats is change out the speedo gear. The MJ is a comfortable pair of old slippers; the JK is tight pair of new shoes. With high heels.

More like high heel stomping boots.

I sold my first vehicle, my Cherokee. Not smart!
