dinghyboy
Just wanted to say hi and introduce my new toy. I have been looking for a play truck for a while and decided on the comanche. Unique, tough and a jeep. After monitoring this site for a while and doing a little research, I decided I wanted a 91 or 92 4.0L HO, automatic, 4x4 with bucket seats and as unmolested as possible. Wasn't real picky about colors but black and white are not my favorites. As much as possible, the main thing I wanted to avoid was rust. I have a couple of MGB's and they provide me with all the rust challenges I need. Last criteria was I prefered not to have peeling paint, I know I'm getting real picky. Most of the trucks I saw around Richmond, had significant rust issues or were just generally beat up. I stumbled across this one, and although I probably paid a little more than others may have paid, I got most of what I wanted. It looks ok, it runs ok and ahs everything that I wanted except the bucket seats; I can deal with that later. I don't have any real modification plans and will try to keep her generally stock. She's really going to be a road truck so there are some maintenance issues and comfort issues that need to be addressed but with the information on this site and your guidance she should be a fun ride for years to come. Thanks for being there. Gavin I'll post in the registry also.
