Jeeper (1/11)

  1. Pete, I will take 12 and put a check in the mail. Larry
  2. Also, they are specific for the right or left side of the truck...at least they were for my '90. When they were reversed, they stayed on all the time.
  3. I will mention this tor what it is worth. My 98 Wrangler would stick at half tank so I ran out of gas a couple of times. I put carb cleaner in the gas tank and drove it on a trail ride. after going up a steep hill a couple of times it started working again. So I put carb/injector cleaner in it periodically didn't have any more trouble with it. Still have a new sending unit in my garage that I had bought. I reasoned that it was rust or debris on the sending unit restricting the movement and the solvent loosened it with the motion of the gas. I found this quite by accident...so you can try the simple trick and maybe it will work.
  4. Hey Pete,...I said I would take 5 but I will do 6. Let me know when they are available Larry
  5. This is probably far fetched and not relevant...but if someone has been screwing around with the transmission there is a way to lock it. Used especially in shipping new trannies. Put your finger in the filler hole and if there is a lever just toward the rear of the hole push it back toward the rear and it will unlock the trans. Like I said it is probably not relevant.
  6. 1986 Comanche Custom LWB Engine: LR2 2.8 L V6 2BBL Trans: Mopar A904 Transfer Case: NP 207 Built in Toledo, OH Currently in Central VA. On the road and a project. It's black ( may change), bench seat, Cloth seat (peanut butter color), Auto on column, Idiot lights ( about to change) New floors, new gas tank, new brake lines, new ball joints, new steering damper bought with 90321 miles.
  7. It appears that my 86 Comanche has developed a leak between the master cyl. and the vacuum booster. Question is ...which is bad. I'm assuming its the Master cyl. as I have had to add brake fluid periodically, should I replace both. Brake pedal is hard and requires substantial pressure. I haven't had the vehicle very long and I'm not sure how it should feel. So it could be that both are bad. Any advice is welcome. (1986 Custom, 2.8 V-6, auto)
  8. Its probably your sockets. I had one on the driver's side act like that. Was able to take it apart and replace the hot wire...but its only a temp fix. I need to replace the sockets on both sides.
  9. That's a really nice truck. I haven't seen that color either...but it looks good with the interior.
  10. I have the same problem and haven't removed the seat to address the problem. Thanks for bringing it up and the responses.
  11. You know if you had lock cylinders in the doors...you can take one to a locksmith and get a key(s) made. I've done it on a TJ before. Then it will work for the glove compartment lock also.
