This is GOOD ADVICE!!!! When I do this, I put the wife in the cab and instruct her if the motor seems like it will stall, "feather" the gas and KEEP IT RUNNING!!! jared Posted February 21, 2007 Share Posted February 21, 2007 i have powerwashed engines before. just make sure its running when yopu do it. but what i usually do is just spray it down with really good degreaser first, let it sit for a few, then hose it off while its running. it works great. OYAH SRRY i forgot to say that. i warsh it AFTER i soak the heck outta it with 100% straight up Simple Green. works great. This is GOOD ADVICE!!!! 86FUBAR Posted February 21, 2007 Share Posted February 21, 2007 I power wash( steem clean ) engins off all the time at work , never had a problem with water in the cap or altenator , i have had problems off road though . but i sure don't like the idea of leaving it runing wile hozn it down , iv done it before but don't like it , it aint gona hurt anything one way or the other but just a personal prefrence. i also use castrol cleaner/ or some of u call it purple clean or what ever but it works a hell of a lot better than simple green witch is still good stuf specialy in the laundry, his not hers learned that the hard way.
