ive been using the pressure washer on my engines...with no problems. i just avoid blasting directly onto things like injectors, sensors, and the throttle body.

This is GOOD ADVICE!!!!

When I do this, I put the wife in the cab and instruct her if the motor seems like it will stall, "feather" the gas and KEEP IT RUNNING!!!

i have powerwashed engines before. just make sure its running when yopu do it.

but what i usually do is just spray it down with really good degreaser first, let it sit for a few, then hose it off while its running. it works great.

CW I like your whole "put the wife in the cab" idea.. ..surprised it hasn't broken yet :P just kidding...probably works real well. now to find a wife.... shoot...no venues for them, too expensive!

I power wash( steem clean ) engins off all the time at work , never had a problem with water in the cap or altenator , i have had problems off road though . but i sure don't like the idea of leaving it runing wile hozn it down , iv done it before but don't like it , it aint gona hurt anything one way or the other but just a personal prefrence. i also use castrol cleaner/ or some of u call it purple clean or what ever but it works a hell of a lot better than simple green witch is still good stuf specialy in the laundry, his not hers learned that the hard way.

I killed my alternator trying to degrease it. Now I have the 130 amp one from work, so it was an upgrade needing done anyways!
