HOrnbrod Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I've had 2" spider trax on my MJ, but not to even the wheel line, just for rubbing and it looks cooler (even more important!!) Does Spidertrax even make 2" spacers for 5 on 4-1/2" wheels? I thought they only made them in 1.25" and 1.50" sizes. :hmm:

Alexia Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 One thing to remember is that while it is not a huge change for the wheel bearing less backspacing puts more stress on the lug nuts.(The same for lots of backspacing.) It would not be a bad idea to replace those 20+ year old lug nuts while tearing it all apart.

Like if it's my DD and will see pavement 98% of the time...lol These are the ones in question: *Edited to remove links to bad spacers. Edited July 9, 2013 by Zack
ParadiseMJ Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Doh! I just used my special tool (picture below) to determine the size of my spacers. They're 1.5" It's been awhile since I first installed them. 6-7 yrs.
ComancheKid45 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Those particular Ebay spacers are NOT Hub centric and IMO I wouldnt install them on any of my trucks. I got a set of Hub Centric Ebay spacers last winter for about $60 and have had no issues fyi ;) with hub centric spacers I see no downsides

92tanMJ Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Well I guess then after paid day I will be ordering a set!
Keyav8r Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Thanks a lot, guys! Something else I didn't know I had to have. Gotta get them now that I've been shown the difference in how much the the fronts stick out more than the rears. Never really noticed it before but now it's just glaring at me. Just Empty Every Pocket

92tanMJ Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Hey I was just wondering how often you all checked the torgue on spacers?
mvusse Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Just like with aluminum rims. I retorque them after 10 miles of driving, then again after 100. I also check them at each oil change or tire rotation.
dakal Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 would you put these on if you were doing plus 1000 miles in baja. any problem with steel, alum, steel together
