neohic Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Not MJ, but I figured someone might know... Rear leafs on an '88 J10 have what for spring rate? Would a Wagoneer be the same? Thanks dudes!
Pete M Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 you can try messaging Hell Creek. I bet he'd have that in one of his books.
neohic Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Thought about that, but being that he hasn't been on here since September I figured there might be a quicker response.
carnuck Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 There are multiple different spring rates for FSJ springs front and back. Front are the same length, but rears are different (J10's are alone, but J20/Wagoneer are same length with MAJOR load differences)

Not concerned with the fronts at all, but this may be good information for someone. If the J10s are by themselves and the J20s and Waggys are the same length and there are major load differences... what would said differences be?
dave92cherokee Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 http://littlekeylime.com/MrN/mrnimages/leaf_springs.png There's a sheet that I've got saved that shows alot of the differences between different leaf springs.
neohic Posted January 2, 2012 Author Posted January 2, 2012 Looking for another source to confirm, but thanks for that!

The difference between a heavy 3/4 ton and a light 1/2 ton. The J20 usually uses 2 thick leaves whereas the Wagoneer uses multiple thin leaves for flex.
mkbruin Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Looking for another source to confirm, but thanks for that! That link is pretty much the leaf spring bible over at Pirate. It has been viewed and gone over by thousands and thousands of people, many of whom have verified the info on the sheet. The info there is good.
