Mj SWB Tonneau cover

How rare are these tonneau covers? I have seen one Mj with one around PA and it looks very nice.

I have not done this but have looked at others some would work some would not. If the aluminum frame from a bigger truck was cut down so its exactly like it was before (holes for the spring loaded connectors etc. Now the frame fits the MJ so then take the cover thats to big to a upholstery shop with the truck have them cut it down and put the snaps on to fit. I would look for cheap used ones to try this with. I would have done this but I was lucky to find a decent used one made for the MJ.

Seen a decent looking one on the board here, it was from a S-10.

Got mine from here about 10 years ago. Don't know if they still have them, but still in good shape. I garage it as much as possible and keep vinyl protector on it. First pic is about 5 years old. Second more recent.

I can't speak for the shortbed truck, but Downey quit making covers for the longbed last year. I tried to buy one at the end of the year.

The Purple People Eater came without the cover, but still has all the snaps and the front mounting rail for one.

My buddy at work has one in mint shape, he never uses it. If interested I can ask...

Thanks but I was more curious than interested. I saw one for sale locally for $75 but my new to me MJ has the roll bar so the cover would be useless.

Most likely very well made but I think its the type that requires drilling holes in the bed side to install snaps which most would not want to do.

65" wide by 97" long is NOT for a Comanche. That's a full size 8' bed.

That's a J-truck tonneau. I suppose it could be cut down though..........
