tbrand
So, I just moved from Arizona, where a front plate isn't required, to Idaho, where it is. My bumper has no mounting holes for a front plate - what kind of creative solutions have y'all come up with to mount one?
Geonovast
Drill two holes, Tap. Or find a factory plate holder, which actually bolt to the bottom of the bumper.

91coMANche
How about just a universal tag mount from the parts store?
tallon2064
The holes to mount the front plate mount are actually on the underside of the front bumper. A front mount from a Cherokee will work they are a dime a dozen here in Maryland at the pick and pulls

MJRemi
I went on a drunken welding binge and welded my license plates to the bumpers. No, I really didn't do that. Grab a frame from a JY Cherokee. Easy & Cheap.
tbrand
Thanks for the tips, fellas. A Cherokee frame sounds like just the ticket.
1990 Pioneer 4x4
My MJ went 20 years with no front plate while living in OR & WA, where it is a requirement. Never did receive a ticket. Then, I simply drilled some holes and bolted it on. Looks good, right? Also, feels good to be a law-abiding citizen :brows:
