mnkyboy Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I've been watching it,my mom lives on the coast. Sounds like they are not expecting it to be very bad.
jimoshel Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 In 1968 I was living in Hauser, A little cluster of houses North of North Bend Or. When they had a Tsunami warning due to a earthquake S of Alaska. Warned everyone to stay clear of the beaches and low lying areas and be prepared to evacuate. Ten minutes before the wave was scheduled to hit there must have been 100,000 people lined up along the shore line waiting. 20 minutes after it was scheduled, we all decided that it must have been that one wave that came in a couple feet farther than the rest and we all left. So much for warnings.

johnnyc Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Latest report is that five lookie-loos got swept away by the tsunami in Oregon and one died. Now it's four lookie-loos in Oregon got swept away, but all survived. And the one death was in Crescent City, CA.
lostissues Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 [ Amazing how it split on the yellow center line. it was probably paved one lane at a time so there would be a seam all the way up the middle.
