glundblad
Why do people hid their license plates when they post pics of their vehicles? License plate numbers are public information. I don't understand what you gain by hiding them. Anyone? :dunno:
Pete M
paranoia. or as they might say, good prudence.
Automan2164
I think its paranoia too. I personally, don't care if anyone see's it. In my case, once on the Metric Ton, but now on the Eliminator and looking a bit out of place... Rob L. :D

Geonovast
I hide mine when I'm driving, too. Nobody should know what it is.

SW86
personally i just don't want you internet people to know who i actually am. i mean i don't know you. with my plate info you can find out who i am and where i live. god knows what else really. i always make sure to never list anything in or with detail. so yes, paranoia
xjrev10
that person reading that post could have also seen your rig parked at mcdonalds last night or was behind you at a stoplight...... best is when they go threw the trouble of bluring the plates but in other pictures they forget to do it before they post.. jpnjim
This board is small, and every single person I've dealt with here has been cool, but if I used this screen name on another board, and someone less than cool wanted to mess with me, a simple google search would find me here, and my plate. Then any info they could want is a phone call, or click away. Everyone has their own level of self (and family) preservation they feel comfortable with, personally I cringe every time I see someone post on a public forum: "I am going to Vegas/Disney/Moab/whatever from June XX to June XX (and my house will be completely empty if you want anything)" So, I refrain from posting too much personal info. YMMV.
