btm24
will 33" tires fit my stock 15 x 7 rims? i don't want to upgrade my rims i love the way mine look but i would like 33's and not 31's. Thank you Brandon
Pete M
33x10.5s will work great. 33x12.5s, not so much. It's not just width of the tire vs width of the rim though. 33x12.5s on factory rims will pull that big fat tire in reeeeeal close. aftermarket rims will push the tire out for more turning radius. but again, 33x10.5s will work in that aspect too. btm24
ok cool as long as they can fit I'm glad. whats a good all all terrain that size? thanks Brandon
Pete M
keep in mind that you might have tire rubbing on the bed wall when the rear tires flex up. a set of quality wheel spacers should fix that (as well as make the front and rear match in terms of tire sticking out from the fenders). or you can extend the bumpstops. or both. extended bumpstops up front might be good too. MJCARENA
BFG makes a 33x10.0x15 all terrain tire. I had them on my XJ in the 31x10.5x15 size. Worked great for me,(sand, dirt, and rocks. never had them in mud so I don't know about that) When I went to 33x12.5x15 BFG M/T I had to get rims with more offset because they did rub on the frame in the rear. Hope this helps you.

SW86
33s will fit the rim but will they be good for the lift your going to run is my thing. I'm on 4.5 lift and 33s are my logic but would prolly leave little flex room. 31s would flex it out but look small on that lift. and hell 32s cost more then either but would prolly be the proper size. i guess for me (sorry to hijack) its about money in the end. so even if 33s are a tad big, its cheaper. btm24
thank yall for the help. ill do a bit of trimming when i get the lift and such going. I'm just supper glad that i don't have to get new rims that can get into alot of $ (and i really like my rims). Ill look around for spacers also but i won't worry to much. In FL there are not any real hills and for the most part i do street driving with some mudding so i won't worry about the flex to much. :D thank yall so much once again  Brandon
Pete M
If muddin' is your thing, either stay away from the bfg AT, or just have a second set of rims/tires for muddin'. The bfg MT would be a good dual use tire.

I have never looked into any type of mud tire because all I ever hear is that they don't last long and they ride like crap on the road right? Pete M
If you think your current tires work great, then you really need a set of mud terrains. There are basically 2 different grades of "mud terrain". Those that are designed mostly to be a more aggressive allterrain (meaning they still work good on pavement), and those that are balls-out mud tires (meaning, well, you know). go with the first ones if they are your only tires, go with the second if you have street tires too. btm24
ok and i see that bfg offers 2 types of mud tires and i can tell which ones will last a hole lot longer on the road. thank you now i know what i want and need  Brandon
mnkyboy
I went with with toyo open country m/t's they are one of the longest lasting mt's,theyride good and are fairly quiet for an mt and they do well off road too.
