jpnjim
Winnar /thread I've been seeing these 'baby-jeep twins' in traffic a lot lately, and the more I see them, the uglier they get. :ack: I actually thought the Patriot would grow on me, but those steel wheel arches, and tiny tires... FAIL. freakjeep93
i actually like the compass more than the patriot. niether are too bad in my opinion but they arnt real true jeeps. i actually wouldnt mind having a comppass done up like the one in the pic tho i think it looks kinda cool
mvusse
The Compass and Patriot aren't Jeeps. They should have had Chrysler badges.
Geonovast
Gotta love the front wheel drive and rubber band transmissions.
jpnjim
I really did think they'd grow on me, the Patriot seemed boxy & utilitarian enough to *****maybe***** be an XJ replacement with better gas mileage, once they're old & cheap. But they're lines translate better in pics than they do in person, after noticing 1-2 a day over the last couple months, :shake: not for me. I'll give you that the Compass looks cleaner, but I'd still take the original (Dodge Caliber) over either.
freakjeep93
the compass is a caliber anyway so whats the difference lol
jpnjim
the compass is a caliber anyway so whats the difference lol It just has the cleanest, most natural lines of the three. I thought it was funny a few years ago when I was checking them all out on Chrysler/Jeep's web site. The Caliber was the cheapest of the three, but the other two had A/C standard. By the time you added A/C to a base Caliber, it cost more than the Jeeps. :huh???: I'm thinking the Caliber had a crappier base engine too. Eagle
The Compass and Patriot aren't Jeeps. They should have had Chrysler badges. They can both be bought with Dodge badges. And a Dodge dealership is where they belong. I agree ... they are not Jeeps.
