Hello,

I am in the process of building up my dd 88 comanche pioneer. I will have to travel a LOT of miles soon for college and i wanted to get a cold air intake kit for my comanche... do you know if a cold air for a cherokee of a similar year will fit?

I recenty just took mine off and installed the stock intake system and seriously just gained 3 mpg back on this last tank of fuel with no other changes.....cone filters suck IMO, and don't filter very well at all :ack:

if you're wanting better gas mileage pull your foot out of the throttle to the point that people honk and pass you at every red-light.

seriously, i drove this way for about 6 months (EXTREME self control) because of a handful of tickets and the gas price spike and saw an increase from 16.5 up to a maximum of 19.5 around town (no interstate, all congested metro area traffic)

now i've got my volvo that gets 23-24 no matter what you do.

Might look at the MADXJ site. They do have a write up on a cold air intake. I don't think cone filters are the problem. It is that you are sucking in the hot air from the engine.

IMHO this is the best cold air intake:

This

plus this (K&N filter on right)
