2012 AMX:

this ain't an April fools Hot Rod mag article either . . .

The write up on this was written in a foreign language , but this wouldn't be the first time Chrysler did some thing cool over sea's or in Mexico that was never brought here . . .

Did you know they have been building dodge truck's as big as a RAM6500 since 1994 in Mexico ?

looks sweet, not sure how real it is, looks a lot like a challenger with a few changes, a photoshop job. Still would be sweet if they came out with these again jamminz.gif . AMX's and Javelins are still some of my favorite muscle cars

Looks nice -- for a Dodge.

Having owned four of the original 2-seat AMXs (as well as several of the original style Javelins) I have to say that thing doesn't look even a little bit like an AMX.

You think they could paint those colors on something NOT made in mexico . AMC fan yes , Dodge Charger / Challenger fan ?

Only the real ones made in Detroit , not the glorified plastic coated disgrace to an American legend .

I don't see cryco marketing an AMC car. the AMX has never been a cryco car and it wouldn't even make sense. Who would relate a AMC car with cryco?

That's just my 2cent. My first car was a 69 Javelin 290 and I had a 70,72,73,74 Javelin and a 70 & 80 AMX. just young and dumb. sold every car but the 74..wife wrecked that.

Loved AMC and wish they had made it. but hate the thought that cryco would try to produce and AMC car... Jeep is different theykept and sell the brand. they destroyed all of AMC. they didn't want anyone to relate AMC with cryco..so screw them..if AMC wasn't worthy in their opinion when they bought it to get Jeep then they are not worthy to use there car name plates now. F-you cryco

uh..I just miss my cars.

much better concept pic

Yea well they took a little while to get AMC out of production late 88'-early89' they had all of AMC shut down renamed as eagle to cover employment & warranty coverages, once those obligations were fulfilled then eagle was shut down give or take . . .

Jeep didn't fully become Cryco after the buy up, it started slowly with discontinuation the FSJ's pickup's in 1988 & SUV's in 1991, then Comanche 1992.

AMC engine dropped one at a time,AMC V-8 production stopped in 93' AMC I-4 dropped completely in 96' AMC I-6 dropped in 06' completely done by 08' . . .They produced the engine 2-3 year's after the vehicle's it was used in where discontinued to run out supplies . . .

So honestly Jeep wasn't fully Cryco's in my opinion until they started powering them with Mini Van V-6's and Neon I-4's in 06.5' +

Now that being said if you'll notice the front control arm's AMC used on the XJ-MJ's are on every RAM from 94'+ what 10 years after AMC used it ?

Now AMC itself might be all gone and long gone but many of there design's have continued to prosper . . .

The Humvee & H1's remained in production unchanged until 2006 ! But never fear AM-General tho working on its own is still alive and well jamminz.gif when you get a chance check out the AM-G under hood sticker's still shows the AMC logo :hmm:
