Hot Rod Jeep
Disco is short for disconnect, or in this case a sway bar quick disconnect. 8)
Kenosha Warrior
Disco is short for disconnect, or in this case a sway bar quick disconnect. 8) ah, muchthanks. we should really create a dictionary of these terms and stick it up somewhere here. Hot Rod Jeep
Yeah that's a good idea. It took me a few days to figure out what IIRC and PITA meant too, so don't feel bad. 8)
GirsMJ86
pete said we will eventually have a thing to state what all the terms stand for along with info on how to tell what tranny, transfer case, ect... you have. Alex

JOMJ87
Ok just for you to see in person pull one tire up on a ramp and take a look at everything as far as flex. Then unbolt your sway bar and pull back up. You will see a huge diff in flex between the 2. You use a disco so that you can have them connected for road driving and then in a flick of some pins there are disconected and you get way better flex. I love haveing them but they can be a pain to put back on :wall: but i just need to refine them. Look into it you will like the difference in the flex of your rig. Just make sure you don't leave them disco'd on the road cause you will NOT stay in the road at higher speeds I know from experience and with saying that you also need to have extra pins in the truck at all times. BTW i can post pics if needed i have 2 jepps here with the same homemade setup on them just let me know. Or ill try to find some i might have a little later and go ahead. JOMJ87
here's my friends YJ same as mine just i didnt have a pic of mine you can see the clips and everything. Just keep in mine he has about 6" of lift and 35s also when you do it don't just cut the stockers in half we cut a chunk out of it and it worked out great just leave a little more than you need to drill the hole for the pins. Plus his stock arms are straight and ares are bent at the top. Cole
