back to the topic: what are discos really used for? it is about one of the only things i have never really looked into since i don't know why i would need them.

Ok just for you to see in person pull one tire up on a ramp and take a look at everything as far as flex. Then unbolt your sway bar and pull back up. You will see a huge diff in flex between the 2. You use a disco so that you can have them connected for road driving and then in a flick of some pins there are disconected and you get way better flex. I love haveing them but they can be a pain to put back on :wall: but i just need to refine them. Look into it you will like the difference in the flex of your rig.

Just make sure you don't leave them disco'd on the road cause you will NOT stay in the road at higher speeds I know from experience and with saying that you also need to have extra pins in the truck at all times.

BTW i can post pics if needed i have 2 jepps here with the same homemade setup on them just let me know. Or ill try to find some i might have a little later and go ahead.

here's my friends YJ same as mine just i didnt have a pic of mine you can see the clips and everything. Just keep in mine he has about 6" of lift and 35s also when you do it don't just cut the stockers in half we cut a chunk out of it and it worked out great just leave a little more than you need to drill the hole for the pins. Plus his stock arms are straight and ares are bent at the top.
