Here's my truck hauling a 1/3 of a cord:

It handled better than I thought it would. Need to add some airbags in the back but it did well with out.

not firewood but lotsa weight

 

 

thats all potatoes i think about 1500-1700 pounds of them. this was in 03 when the truck was still in half decent shape :(

i actually fit like 80% of a cord in mine

it was stacked tight and high

Was it seasoned or green wood? Man, that's a lot of wood. Did you use any helper springs or air bags?

I wish I snapped a shot of the 86 (Big Ton) when the bed was overfilled with dirt (yard? half-yard? whatever it is). the rear was firmly on the bumpstops and the front had an inch to spare. :D drove it 4 miles home that way. funny thing is that it accelerated about as fast as it does empty. :rotfl2:

here's a shot of old rusty earning his keep and then some from a couple weeks ago....18 inches of snow in less than 24 hours.......Spent over 36 hour plowing in a three day stretch.......I love my comanche but learned that weekend I wouldnt want to drive it to california.....lol
