what should i pull off a 96 gc

i have a chance to pull parts a 96 gc i pulled the seats to replace the buckets on my 88 manche what other parts could i use it has a 4.0 with 59.000 on it i could get the eng for $400 if i wanted any other drive train parts work thanks

There really isn't too much worth grabbing off a ZJ. The motor seems like a decent grab, I believe there are some differences in the ZJ motors, but pretty sure they can go in place of an XJ/MJ HO one.

If it has skids and towhooks, get those for trading/selling. Probably doesn't, however.

Rear disc brake setup can fairly easily be adapted to other axles (D44 and Chrysler 8.25").

The front Dana 30 is a direct replacement for the MJ, But it is probably low pinion. Wheels will bolt up if they are ones you like.

no skids or hooks it came in with 4 donuts for tires hopefully i will be able to get the motor out of it when he gets tired of looking at it lol he bought it wrecked to put the t/c case in one and to put the motor in another .motor was for a 94 gc which i got to run after 2 years by grouding out the alarm system didnt use the t/c either ne needed a 231 and this was a 242

i didnt know the zj front axle was the same. hmm thats an idea if need to replace at one point.

Grab the steering box. It has a quicker ratio (12.7:1) vs. the 14.1:1 MJ box. Bolt-in too. But since it's a 4.0 the sway bar and tie rod won't do you any good. :D

ok i will pull the steering box is it also worth pulling the booster and master cylinder to i will use this in the future.i almost haved it ready to drive i am changing the cooling system to a open one :cheers:
