pilotblake
I came in this morning early to go and pick up the new Modern Warfare 2 game for PS3. I have had the game since 8 and it is now only 10:30 a.m. I do not know if I have the willpower to stay here all day knowing the game is in the car waiting to go home and be played. It is going to be a long a$$ day. If you have not played the game or have not played it online you are missing out. I am not a hard core gamer but these Call of Duty games by infinity ward are visually incredible.
Pete M
My friends and I picked ours up at midnight. There had to be a hundred people in that line outside the game store :shake: so we drove over to Meijer (like a walmart) and walked right up to the counter. :D Anyways, the game itself is decent, but I lack the words to describe how angry I am that I still can't play online with my friends while I'm actually WITH my friends. :wall: It's still one player per Xbox (and only one of us has an Xbox). What the hell? Does Halo have the patent on online co-op play? :fs1:
pilotblake
Yeah I am not sure if it is the same for the new PS3 version, I would imagine it is, and yeah I feel your pain. Did you play any of the campaign or go right to online play. Sorry until 5 I have to live vicariously through people who have played it already. And yeah the walmart in the town I work had a large stock of the games coming in so I waited till this morning, even picked up a few extra copies for my friends.
Geonovast
Does Halo have the patent on online co-op play? :fs1: Don't see how they could do that but it wouldn't surprise me.. Halo is made by Bungie. Bungie is owned and operated by Microsoft. Microsoft would own the world if it was up for sale.(They could certainly afford it.) Pete M
we went straight to online (gotta play the maps before the actualy "good" players have it all memorized. :D ). We also did some of the new coop play (which was pretty cool, but it was only vs bots, not people). There's a lot of game on that little CD, I'm just pissed that the three of us have to pass the controller to take turns playing online. :fs1:
pilotblake
We always refer to online play as getting owned by 12 year olds. I held my own at modern warfare and world at war, but man some of those kids are outrageous. I would sit down in a good mood and play for awhile, then end up getting pissed and going outside and taking it out on manche.
Pete M
We have a similar name for it. I don't play to win, I play to annoy. I walk around with the grenade launcher and do my best to get one-for-ones. :D In Halo it's the highlight of my game to get a couple killjoys. "haha, you were doing good, but then my unskilled butt came by and got lucky"
bigalpha
I have WaW and it's pretty pimp. The trailer for MW2 looked a zillion times more awesome. There was a recent controversy with the way they were going to let people play online -- no more servers ran by individuals. I wanted to get MW2 immediately, but I'm going to wait for a while until the kinks are worked out.

Puritan21
Took my son to Wal-mart at midnight to pick up a copy......there was about 60 people in front of us. Took it home and slapped that baby in the PS3.......it ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Played about 30 mins then made the boy go to bed. I hit the sack as well since I was going to work on the truck today. My son made it home from school and has been playing ever since...
wallisek
Call of what...???? j/k :brows: There are very few games I've ever bought upon their release or paid $50 for. Just too expensive for my tastes these days. I'm usually at least a year or two behind the curve. I just got CoD4 about 6 months ago and it was free with my video card. I never spend more than $30 for games, console, pc or otherwise. Too expensive....as is everything once you have kids.
mfpdm
I use to play a lot more than I do now. Started off doing the Halo thing. Got tired of spawning, turning around, and either getting a shotgun to the face or a headshot from a sniper. Went to COD. Was fun to call an air strike on the re-gen point. Went to GOW2 which I play from time to time still. Mostly in Horde.
pilotblake
I actually came down with the worst sore throat and tiredness virus I have ever had (thought maybe it was the H1N1 for awhile). It had me home from work, for two days....however it couldn't have come at a better time. If I have to stay home and rest, may as well play Modern Warfare. :clapping:
