hmmm,

i know I'm not crazy

you must have edited it out,

for your floor boards, use this stuff

http://forums.off-road.com/jeep-short-w ... -work.html

I did edit the floor boards... That Permatex rust stuff looks like a good option, but i think i'd use POR 15 with some kind of bedliner materal on top.

I wonder if there is any reason why I wouldn't want to replace the carpet/mat with some kind of bed liner material. Like would I have an issue with too much heat on the tins?

I used Rust Bullet to coat my roof, really easy to work with and is a durable finish. Just make sure you have good ventilation and wear gloves. I love that rear bumper/   Don't let it sit again, Comanches hate to not be driven.

sometimes with coils you buy, you cannot get the proper spring rate you desire, so some times, you need to cut them.

i would recommend only cut them if you know what you are doing

your coils, when you cut them, became super stiff, thats all, didnt do the proper math

i knew what i was doin lol, free lowering kit when i heated them  . i was going for bumpstops, not ride quality. also i was 18 so i had no $$ and didnt care about ride. lower spring=firmer ride, weather its a heated coils, cut coils, or the proper lowering coils they won't ride factory like.
