Leftover bolts

:hmm: These were in the baggie containing the bellhousing-to-engine bolts. :dunno: Not a clue what they go to and they may not go to the bellhousing at all. There's 2 of them and they are about 1.25" long. (yeah, I know. It looks big in the pick, but they are just little things) Ahh, the joys of working on vehicles... :roll:

they look like sholder bolts for the valve cover, or auto transmission pan maybe?... only places i can think of that uses sholder bolts

They need the shoulder to accurately index the CPS.

yeah those are definetly for the cps. come on pete don't u remember the advice u gave me in my post

Yup, they are indeed CPS bolts. They are left over, not becasue I forgot about the CPS (I had that installed before installing the trans into the truck), but because my new external slave bellhousing came with its own CPS bolts. D'oh! :shake:
