Have a kid on the way soon, just wondering what you guys think my mj's worth as it sits now. Its a 1992 4.0 auto. 134,xxx miles. Welded d35 rear :fs1: soa. Lifted 4.5inches on 32 bfg m/t. Homemade snorkel. Newly welded floor pans. Newly replaced starter, alternator and battery. I've had it on craigslist starting at $3,800 got no replies so bumped down to $3,000 still no replies. I hate to see it go but can't put a car seat in it.

About $1400 if it's fairly rust free, several on craigslist in that range.

that welded rearend will trim your potential buyer group since it's not really all that street-friendly anymore. :(

Are just the spiders welded together, or are they welded to the carrier?

 

If it's just the spiders, you should be able to get another set of spiders and throw them in... then you can add 'new rear diff fluid' to it too :D

Man's got a point... if it doesn't have buckets, throw buckets in it, and then you can get a carseat in there. One advantage to an auto.

Oh well if all else fails, maybe find a sexy xj to trade or buy and work my way up.

Let her take you to court.... As long as you have a ride that is safe... You can safely put a car seat in the truck... it sounds like Momma won't be riding in it anytime soon. If you let her start telling you how to live your life now, it won't stop. You have rights as the father, she doesn't get to dictate your life to you.

Been through a VERY similar thing with mine. You WILL resent her for it. If you like the truck then keep it, she will understand, or she won't. I sold my '99 XJ & '08 Suzuki GS500 because of it :headpop: & bought a Hyundai Accent for MY vehicle. :nuts:

 

Two years later i bought Drippy & couldn't be happier, she's angry, but she'll get over it.

One of the first things I told my fiance' when she got pregnant was that I wasn't selling my trucks. Just that we'd have to get an XJ too.
