comanchedude Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Dude That looks great..you just needs some flares and don't worry about the trimming thats what makes it your truck.. stock trucks are for old men or the museum
aemsee Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I think it looks great, except your grill is upside down. ;)
Pete M Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Too many people crying over spilt milk here. :teehee: I say it's a sweet lookin' rig! Have you taken it out wheelin' yet?
Hot Rod Jeep Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 The guys I used to work with thought I was crazy for cutting my fenders on my last MJ. All I did was cut the rust out, I'd to see their reaction to that MJ. Still a sweet looking rig, and the TJ too. 8)
RedBullMJ Posted September 3, 2006 Author Posted September 3, 2006 thanx for the props.......I haven't taken the MJ out wheelin yet.....the dana 35 would be screaming if I did. I want to find a cheap 8.8 as a replacement. I want to put some flares on the MJ but I havent found any I like. Any aftermarket ones out there besides Bushwacker? I am not going to put TJ flares on it either. I found some flares @ Rustys and JC Whitney.....any others?
DansGreyMj Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 rustysoffroad.com they have some nice flares and a set of 4 is 350
CWLONGSHOT Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 If you are careful and use only REAR flairs. The TJ's can be made to look VERY GOOD!!! CW
Stumpy Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 the guy that put the TJ flares on my MJ did a good job. they are sahara ones so when/if i go full width axles the tires will still be covered..lol
RedBullMJ Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 I found an 98 F8.8 with rotors/calipers/lines and driveshaft adapter for 60 bux in the junk yard! I am stoked.....
feerocknok Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I don't know How I missed this thread, but this truck looks Great! Love the rims and stance. How are you liking those springs?
jared Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 that truck was super perfect man, but it looks hot on 35's too.
CWLONGSHOT Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 When I dicided to flat fender my TJ I removed and sold my bushwackers and got a set of Ruby flairs. They are also wider than reg TJ flairs. I like the way it came out.. Sorry for the hi-jack...
RedBullMJ Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 I don't know How I missed this thread, but this truck looks Great! Love the rims and stance. How are you liking those springs? The rear 4" spring and the front 4.5" springs did not match up too well. The front was actually too low and looked funny. I threw in 2" spacers and it helped, but still low....I hope the rear will drop down a little bit when I throw in the 8.8. (I am still spring under).
CWLONGSHOT Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 If staying SUA yes it will drop a bit as the 8.8 has huge axle tubes. You could also swap in XJ shackles. That will drop the back about an inch more. CW
