I do not believe that is correct.......If I remember correctly RE brand shocks are actually Edelbrocks. I bought both the EBs and REs.....

Where is this manufacturer from?........website seems to work great... Anymore info on this company?

I have $120 in my OBA. You can build a sandan style system with tank real cheap. Tanks have a huge benefit of being portable....It is always the last Jeep in the bunch that needs air! So......Motion OffRoad, who makes your regulators? Care to answer?
-
So who actually makes your regulators?

Who makes Motion's springs, both front and rear? I am guessing RockKrawler for the fronts and who knows for the rears. I noticed some of the other Motion's products are actually rebadged, not an issue for me, but I just don't want to buy RK springs. Thanks in advance.

I got lucky on the TJ chassis..... The waggy grill never was a factory option, but they are completely bolt on.

Clark?? Good duty. Were you there for Pinatubo? Bad duty........... I was there for the big earthquake but left just before the volcano.

I built a white MJ "Project Redbull" I regret selling it. It was a great truck. So, I bought this 4cyl 2wd MJ real cheap and I bought a TJ rolling chassis cheap....and installed the 4.0, 3550, 231, D30 and bolt in D44. I had to install a 99 cherokee exhaust manifold, re-drill the driver's side motor mount plate and I need to re-do the cross member. So, this is the result so far.....I changed the front to a waggy style: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found

ok, thanks..... The motor tranny and t-case are in...the 3550 is a bit longer, so minor adjustments are need for the crossmember and shifter....

I am swapping a 2000 TJ drivetrain into my Comanche. Does anyone know if a 2000/2001 XJ dash, steering column and wire harness is the same as a 2000 TJ. The goal is to swap the entire XJ dash / column and TJ wiring harness, so I can just plug and play. The other alternative is to bolt in a TJ steering column and hand wire the rest of everything else.

TJ vs XJ/MJ 4.0 block mounts
RedBullMJ replied to RedBullMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Great suggestions. I hope to get a more efficent rad, and I hope that a factory MJ 4.0 pump will work. Anyone happen to know the fuel pressure differences between a Renix 4.0 and a 2000 TJ 4.0? Also, it appears that a NV3550 is longer than an AX15. I assume I will have to fab up a crossmember and T-case shifter bracket. I also have to cut a larger hole for the tranny shifter. -
TJ vs XJ/MJ 4.0 block mounts
RedBullMJ replied to RedBullMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I found out the hard way.......Thanks for the information....I am heading to the junk yard to locate some... If your guys have anymore info to offer up about the swap....I am all ears!! -
Is there a difference between TJ and MJ steel block mounts (motor mounts) for the 4.0? I am in the middle of a 4.0 swap, the motor is from a 2000 TJ. I changed the MJ frame horns from 4cyl to 4.0......but the drivers side motor mount is not lining up....it stick too far out. It looks like the steel block mount is too long or too far from the block. Anyone?

New project in the works...
RedBullMJ replied to RedBullMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I am going to try this first....good idea to try. I also picked up a few interior lights and a MJ D44 from the junk yard.........very odd but the junk yard had two MJs, one 4cyl/2wd and one 4.0/2wd (maybe metric ton)...both short beds. Thanks for the advice everyone.....ComancheClub is a great help. -

I bought the 4.0 frame horns from the junk yard......they were definitely different. Any other suggestions out there? Jeff knows.. cause he picked the mounts up from my parts dept. For the fuel pump... MSD makes a pump that works great with the 4.0.. just install a fuel cell and call it good and run an inline pump. If I need to install a fuel cell..................I will install the TJ tank and pump in the bed or underneath somehow..... -
It's good to see "Project RedbullMJ" is still alive. I regret selling it!! I had great time building this MJ......I wish I never sold it!!

Will a late model XJ pump work with the 2.5 gas tank? I would rather use an new style XJ tank/pump system..... -

OK boy and girls, this is the deal: About a year ago I built up a really nice 89 MJ, 4.0 Auto 4x4 on 35inch MTZs......I sold it and regret it! So, I bought a 89 2.5 2wd short box. My plan was to drive the wheels off of it as a daily driver.......but I got all itchy and want to convert it to 4x4. I picked up a wrecked 2000 TJ, 4.0 3550 D44 and I want to swap it ALL over to the MJ.....drivetrain, computer, harness and everything. the basic swap is easy but my questions are as follows: Is swaping electronics straightforward? any computer issues? Are the 4.0 and 2.5 motor mounts in the same place? Any fuel issues with the factory comanche tank and pump? Any other advice you can give me? You guys have done some great projects and I hope to learn some tricks from you!! timmyk
