ACOS for lift

Recommended Posts

Ok..I have only lifted 2 of these MJ's and both were so high that I had to completely decipher the geometries of the whole front end..If I lift MJ#3 to the max of the ACOS shouldnt i be ok without having to change anything?

Well..As stated by the manufacturer JKS..The range on the ACOS is 1.5" to 3.75"..I already have a set on my 12.5" lifted MJ that are set at 3.5" and no problems..As to being vague. ..I would have thought that most people here would understand that i was referring to upper and lower control arms, drag link, etc..I do not believe I will have any issues only setting them at 3.5" or so..

Uhh..I got the ACOS for 75.00....spring it over in the rear...the cheapest 3" lift i can find is roughcountry 336.00 coils, shocks, add a leaf..and you still gotta do all that other stuff..so i don't understand your thinkin..Please enlighten me on where to get a cheap lift..Not Rusty's..Cause i would be glad to get it..

So you want to lift the front 3.5" and would like to know what other parts you'll need?

-Shocks

-brake lines (stock YJ lines will work)

-track bar

-lower control arms

-maybe uppers depending on how the caster sits, but I think they'll be ok

lol...i was countin on the shocks,b-lines, and trackbar...but good grief..The more i read the more I am thinkin the hell with it and call Rubicon Express..Wait if I don't spring it over in the rear I could get a add a leaf right?....Sorry guys I just aint use to lifting these things so little..My other ones are a little larger. Ok..so i am thinking here...I have the following

1.ACOS

2.shocks

need to get brake lines...could make control arm and trac bar..did it on MJ#1..and instead of spring over rear(be too high)..do the rear with longer shackles...Am I on the right track now? :dunno:

Longer shackles are only good for an inch or so before they become a detriment. You can get yourself a 3" full-length AAL for the rear. Just make sure it's for an MJ, not an XJ. They have very different arches in their leaf packs and so AALs work differently in them.

Don't forget about a longer rear brake line (a '95 Dakota line works great).
