CEThomas
Well at noon today, my son Charlie got pulled over by a OSP trooper while driving down US-23 in the MJ. She gave him a waring for the following items: 1. Loud exhaust - not as loud as all the tuners or open exhaust diesel but she thought it had a hole in it  2. E-brake - handle was broke and stuck so it would not set. When was the last time I set the e-brake in someting with an auto trans :fs1: 3. Fender flares - The tires are about 3" out past the fenders. Will not go into the lecture she gave him on how she would put smaller tires on it if it were her truck :smart: Well at least she did not write him up on bumper height :shake: I drive US-23 everyday to and from work and see a lot worse vehicles then his MJ everyday :hmm: , and he has never had problems in South Bloomfield on 23 which is a speed trap :wall: so figure she was having a bad day :ack: but if you are driving down US-23 look for this MJ being pulled over by the OSP :grrrr:
BLHTAZ
:shake: Every now & then you get one of those kind. At least it was just warnings and not tickets.
mjeff87
I make a point to wave at every PD that passes me (a couple of them live in my subdivision even). Don't know if it helps, but none of them have pulled me yet, for whatever reason real or imagined. Jeff
mvusse
I Canada I got pulled over by OPP *BECAUSE* I waved. But here I wave at the local police. Then again, I know most of them personally.

CEThomas
The truck has been on the road for over a year with no problems driving the same road. Think she had a problem with the truck in general  she gave him a lecture on how unsafe it was for other cars with the wide tires, how unsafe the wide tires are driving in rain / wet roads

CEThomas
Bad thing is now he has to keep a low profile for a while  The muffler system is new, has not even got any rust on it yet. We checked over things and he is just going to have to stay off the main roads.
pingpong
Its amazing when I hear stories about ppl getting pulled over. I drove Pong with No doors and no inspection around for months before I took it off the road. I drove the Turd as well till I started wheeling it to work everyday, with no inspection and obvious mods.. never got pulled over. :huh???: BTW your rig is way better shape then anything I have driven on the road that was a jeep

Lewt2007
When the state of Ohio inspected my 90 Longbed my senior year in high school the trooper stated to me isn't it a little loud. the motor at the time had a rocker that was running dry and chirping other than that they said nothing about anything else. Needless to say it passed the safety inspection with flying colors. the trooper thought it was a standard when it had column shift auto with the 4x4 on the trans hump in the floor. that trooper must have not inspected a Comanche before inspecting mine
