allright so the title cought your attention yes it rolled over but it really dident hert me or the jeep that bad o k jamminz.gif. O.K. now to tell the story i was driving back from getting some food and i was f@cking around some drifts and crap and i lost control of the truck slid back and forth in a uncontrollable slide and cought the front left tire on the snowbank and i ended up on the drivers side. i had my seat belt on. :clapping: the truck had lots of dents and broke the drivers side mirror. i just took off the panel of the door and pushed out the door dents. the sh!ty part about this was a DODGE pulled me back over  . there was no glass or plastic broken.

Glad you alright....Hopefully the truck is repairable and your lesson was learned.

Don't try to drive hard until you know the limits of the vehicle...obviously you didn't have the experience nor skills to recover it. I mean seriously, a lifted Jeep on sticky 31's with a locker and you are as you say "drifting" around? What did you think would happen? You aren't in tokyo drift man...so just be glad you are ok and no one was hurt by your actions.

Now fix it and drive smarter next time

Not to sound like a smart a$$ but by "drift" I think he meant like a snow bank I could be wrong,I mean being from Louisiana I'm not the most educated on driving in the snow so I could be wrong :D

Glad you're OK. I've driven alot of vehicles with BFG A/T's on them in the snow. I think they are terrible in the white stuff. They don't seem to clean out very well.

I’ve had BFG AT’s on my DD (Dakota 5.2 L 4x4) for many years and always liked the way they performed on the snow… Best AT’s I ever had!

Kansas, Washington?? You guys don't get SNOW! :D I have buddies that swear by them as well. Just never took a shine to them myself. Thought they liked to float instead of dig in.

They don't dig in like the MT's that i have on my Comanche. You're right, we don't get much snow around the Puget Sound, but it does happen. In fact, the beginning of Jan. we all drove around in over a foot of snow that lasted a few weeks. The NW is also known for many Mountains and high elevations, huge amount of precipitation... so we might know a bit about extreme weather conditions. I can't speak for Kansas... You're on your own.

yeah, I'm sitting here tonight with about 1.5 ft of snow everywhere and -45 degree wind-chill. Not even all of the dang road salt can melt the ice and snow off the road. My second hand 235's do just fine (tigerpaw highway crap) with my 2wd. I slide a bit if you step on it (thats what the school parking lot is for ;) ) Haven't gotten stuck a single time this year, even made it up my very steep gravel driveway everyday. If I keep the MJ, its getting new AT tires on it next fall.

I go out to 'Jeepmobile' everytime in snows in my '94 XJ with 3" of lift a rear traclock and 31" BFG AT KO's. I have spent over 3 hours on back roads doing slides at speeds up to 45 mph in the last week. I can't wait for snow and will be going out in our below 0 weather for about a half hour or so tonight yet. WOT 0-45 mph fishtailing blasts are awesome. This isn't Tokyo, but I have been drifting for 25 years in the snow. :brows:

I spend more time sideways in the snow on back roads then going straight. jamminz.gif

I climb on the huge snow piles and just love blasting in snow. :chillin:

I drift my XJ on dry pavement too. It's a blast doing a dry pavement drifts coming out of a 25 mph rated 90 degree turn at 55 mph. I do 4 wheel drifts in fulltime 4x4 and 2wd slides on dry pavement all the time. Í'll hang the back end out sideways or 4 wheel drift at 60 mph almost 6-8 times every day on my trip to work.

Rain is just as much fun.

DANG! You drive that XJ like I used to drive my Olds 98. Used to love that 307 4bbl.

My first car was a 310hp 4speed 3.90 geared Cutlass that won tons of cash street racing. :chillin:

I drive everything like that. You should have seen me in my 11 second '71 340 4 speed Çuda. jamminz.gif I miss that car...

I had a '05 SRT-4 ACR that ran 11.94 in the quarter and could hit 162 mph at Road America. :brows:

Autocrossing it was a blast too. :D

I'm building some rice besides my MJ. I have a '92 Prelude that will have over 400hp, be made to autocross and do some serious track time. ;)

I have a buddy who is going to build me a 442ci big block using a 400 block/440 crank stick shift '70 Dart with about 650hp next winter. jamminz.gif

Drive it like you stole it.

yea well when you don't have swaybars its not so easy to drift

Removing the swaybar induces oversteer. The other XJ I sold ran no swaybars and the rear end would start sliding way before the front. I don't think I was ever able to slide the front on dry pavement. The rear would start sliding so soon I would have spun before I was going fast enough make the front end too slide. I slid the rear end many times with it.

My XJ I drift has the largest front sway bar, ZJ Up-Country V-8 front springs, 1.75" spacers and a ten year old R.E. 3" add-a-leafs. It handles neutral and is very balanced. When pushed hard in turns it starts to drift the front and rear at the same time. It handles better then most of the cars I have owned.

Are your jeeps stick or auto? Stock or stroked? I like drifting in the snow, but I'm not quite confident with the auto. it just doesnt shift down when i want it to and when it does i usualy get a little suprised...No way i would drift it like you do! Not that it matters that much, i satisify my drifting needs in my 4wd VW van.... best car i have ever driven on snow and ice jamminz.gif

'94 XJ, 4.0 HO, AW-4,and 3.55 gears with a 8.25 limited slip. All stock except for the 3" of lift, 31"BFG KO tires and a K&N airfilter.

I just got back from a hour of playing. :D I even found a unplowed 1/2" mile long road with about 12"-18"of snow on it to play in. jamminz.gif

I prefer an auto in snow because a stick can cause you to spin easier when you lift off the throttle due to the extra engine braking.

I do shift it manually most of the time. I have also had the same XJ for 10 years so I'm totally in tune with how it handles. :brows:

yea my manche is a 5 speed stick and it is a stock motor it loves 3 gear for drifting

I'm sure it loved being rolled over, too.

However, I'm a hypocrite in a sense, because I do love to get my comanche powersliding around turns. However, I save it for the rainy days where losing traction is easy, and you won't get the sudden grip that you could get on dry pavement resulting in a roll over.

I am also not lifted, only 2wd, and actually sit slightly lower due to my 235/70/15 tires so I feel it's a much more capable rig for it, even though it's still not the smartest idea around.
