What gears would this MJ have?

I know that nothing is a given from the factory, but what gears should this one have?

My 1990 2.5 Manual has 4:10 gears from what I have seen its pretty common.

Yeah, it doesn't list the transmission in the ad. If this baby has 4.10's, I'll drive the 5 hours to pick her up.

I dunno what they used for the base tranny in 1990. I have an 86 2.5L 4-speed and an 88 2.5L 4-speed that both have 3.55 gears. 4.10s were with the 5-speed.

I got jipped then. The 87 I'm parting out had the 2.5 w/5spd but has a 3.55 rear. Did they differ from 2wd and 4wd? :dunno:

Not that we know of. I guess that then the trans could have been swapped in. It's a direct swap for the 4-speed.

In the rare case that it is an auto it should have 4:56s.

 

AX-5 normally 4:10s

AX-4 normally 3:55s
